Sequence creation error

Hi, I am new to this so any help appreciated. I have installed MariaDB 10.2.18 and have created a new user, when I connect as that user and try to run the following command:

MariaDB [zed]> CREATE SEQUENCE account_seq START WITH 1000 INCREMENT BY 1;

I get the following error:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'SEQUENCE account_seq START WITH 1000 INCREMENT BY 1' at line 1

As far as I can see, this is the correct syntax

Sequences were added in MariaDB 10.3, and are not available in MariaDB 10.2.
