QUARTER

Syntax

QUARTER(date)

Description

Returns the quarter of the year for date, in the range 1 to 4. Returns 0 if month contains a zero value, or NULL if the given value is not otherwise a valid date (zero values are accepted).

SELECT QUARTER('2008-04-01');

| QUARTER('2008-04-01') |
+-----------------------+

SELECT QUARTER('2019-00-01');
