page_checksum performance implications

Does enabling page_checksum for the Aria engine involve significant drops in performance when compared to a disabled page_checksum(ed) table? Are there any benchmarks on this one?

At the end, should I enable it or not?

Answer

As far as I remember, a performance drop wasn't significant. But ultimately, you need to test it in your setup with your application to know for sure.
