MariaDB Server StandAlone to Galera Cluster

Hi, I'm planning to have a Galera Cluster but for now I only have 1 Database Server at the moment and might take a while for the Fail-Over or Disaster Recovery servers for MariaDB.

In this regard,

My question is, can I use the MariaDb in Galera Repo install it using yum then just use this package as standalone for now then just configure the Galera Cluster once I have the servers for this setup, e.g I will only add the configs for Galera in server.cnf if i have the nodes and just use server.cnf for standalone mariadb in the meantime?

The version I'm planning to use for production is 10.3.9(The Latest GA) of MariaDB with Galera

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the latest MariaDB 10.3.9 already have the galera packages in it? so there is no need for me to download the MariaDB Galera ones? I'm quite a bit confused.

Thank you for your understanding and prompt response.

Yes, that's right. See What is MariaDB Galera Cluster?
