MariaDB 10.1.13 Changing MySQL version
Hi, At present I have MariaDB version 10.1.13 installed on a Debian 8 server and by default it is using MySQL 5.6.28-76-1. I have looked around your site and even googled for answers only to find it no use. How do I set MariaDB to use MySQL 5.7?
Regards
Dominic

5.6.28-76.1 is the version of XtraDB in MariadB 10.1.13. XtraDB is an enhanced version of the InnoDB storage engine that is the default in MySQL. The InnoDB from MySQL 5.6 is also included and can be used if you prefer to not use XtraDB.
MariaDB 10.1 does not include the InnoDB storage engine from MySQL 5.7. The only way I know to get that is to uninstall MariaDB and install MySQL 5.7.
