Can We configure replication between MariaDB 5.5.56 and MySQL 5.5.21?

Hi Team,

We are having a development server with RHEL 5.11 and MySQL 5.5.21, in our current master-slave scenario we are having one server as Master and other as slave.

Can we add another slave server which will be MySQL 5.5.21, we have visited the below link but there is no clear information about that.

Please find the below document for your reference.

Kindly help us with this.

Replication between MySQL 5.5 and MariaDB 5.5 is possible, although to be safe you usually want the slave to be the newer version.
