Can I distribute MariaDB server + LGPL client with my commercial package

I have read a lot of the information here about the LGPL client and commercial packages. I understand that I can use or connect to the MariaDB and MySQL if I use the LGPL client version, but can I distribute the server with my commercial package without being bound by the GPL, and forcing my app to be GPL'ed.

Yes, if your client can connect to any other database, is using a framework that can connect to another database or it works even without MySQL/MariaDB.

See the licensing FAQ for details.

Even if the above is not the case for your setup, in most cases it's still legal to distribute MySQL/MariaDB with your application. You can use the form at Monty Program Ab to get more information about this.
