Update mariadb-10.6.5 to mariadb-10.6.7 on Windows ? which way to update?

Hello

I would like to update the current installed Mariadb V10.6.5 to Mariadb V10.6.7 on Windows. I used the MSI package to update ...suddently the question came up 10.6 Directory already exist take an other Directory for Installation.

My question is how do I update the current 10.6.5 to 10.6.7 installed code. Do I have to use the MSI or the .ZIP package? When the Zip is used I just copy all Directory over into the Directory where 10.6.5 currently is? Or is there an other way to place the new code in a Windows system? A step later I have to run mysql_upgrade procedure to update the tables on the current system ... Please advice how the correct steps will be.

Then I found nothing very usefull on the MariaDB documentation nor on the Forum nor such a question in the Web

Thanks a lot for your assistance with best regards Urs

You are running onto https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-27828 . You just need to wait until 10.6.8 is out, then upgrade.

It is all handled by MSI. Once MSI installed, your database is upgraded. You do not need to mysql_upgrade, if you migrate from 10.6.x to 10.7.y
