JavaEE application with Oracle DB to MariaDB - case sensitive DB objects

Is there any option when creating an instance of MariaDB, or something in the JDBC-Connector setting, where we can disable case sensitive handling of DB objects like tables, fields. Our data-access layer code-base is large and if we are to do a find and replace on SQL statements with respect to making it case sensitive, it is going to be a daunting task. We are new to MySQL or MariaDB, sorry if we are missing something related to MariaDB/ConnectorJ basic understanding.

This is a server setting.
