Finding version of mariadb engine

I'm a bit confused about the version of Mariadb... STATUS command gives the following lines...

Server version: 10.4.21-MariaDB-log Source distribution and mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.0.38-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) ...

So can anyone help me find what exactly is the mariadb version (10.4.21 or 10.0.38-MariaDB)

Executing select @@version on the database will give you the version of the MariaDB server.
