About the meaning of "later stage"

Hello. In the description about Event Scheduler, "Events are named database objects containing SQL statements that are to be executed at a later stage", what is the exact meaning of "later stage"?

Answer Answered by Daniel Black in this comment.

Any time in the future, specificly not immediately.

The time defined in the event is when the SQL statements are executed.
